This is the town where a grew up and went to school. Oldenburg is a modern university city and the cultural and administrative hub of North West Germany. Oldenburg is still very proud of its historical roots and buildings, delightful traditions and warm, friendly charm. It has a lively old city centre with a shopper-friendly pedestrian zone, renowned museums and theatres, festivals and popular markets. Population: approx. 160,000 / Education: 14,000 students / Tourism – Total visitors approx. 130,000.
The photographs were taken yesterday afternoon (Fuji X-T1 with 18-55mm). It was a bit cloudy and rainy. But I think that black and white will give you a good insight into the historical roots and buildings of my home town. I live now in a small village just a few miles away.
