It really pops with the black background. Love it 🙂
Thanks Kaz, I bought this one in the local flower store. Yesterday I went to a park nearby… hundreds of them. But you never know. Have a nice weekend. Reinhold
What a great idea, I must do that on a quiet day at home. Always the way isn’t it, if you hadn’t of bought it you wouldn’t have seen them again. You have a great weekend too 🙂
Does it smell like the wild species ?
It smells like a flower, not like an onion. Rather sweet than spicy.
oh these are so beautiful! I have never heard of ornamental onions. What do you use for the black background or is it shopped?
Thanks Fraggs, I saw these flowers in nearby gardens in the neighborhood. Today I saw them in our local flower shop. I bought one and the green stuff and drove home. I went directly into my studio. LOL. My living room. I have a black A1 cartoon, which I positioned in the back. Fuji on my tripod. The bigger the distance between flower and background the darker the black color on the photo. I underexposed and brought the lights up in LR. The rest was easy. No PS involved, except the watermark. Was fun and saves a lot of work in post processing. Smiles. Reinhold
thanks for the info, i’ll be having a go if I can get hold of some flowers, must find an ornamental onion!!
Intimate portraits/landscapes. I think in schemes of artists/scientists from centuries ago. Thanks, Reinhold.
The photos were captured in my studio. Actually it’s my living room. I was chasing these flowers for quite a while. Found one in our local flower shop. Thanks, Francis.
