Weekly Photo Challenge: ROY G. BIV.

Rainbow by Reinhold Staden

I have taken the photo of the zebra at the Frankfurt zoo.
Mask and color levels created in Photoshop CC.

I wish you a rainbow-colorful weekend!

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “ROY G. BIV.”

    • 7 lines, 7 colors, 7 empty spaces and a word with 7 letters. Mmmmh! We have 7 weekdays. May be I can add Monday-Sunday to it. On Monday I feel RED, on Tuesday a bit ORANGE, … but the postcard idea is also very good! Thanks for that, Noortje.

  1. Thank you, Reinhold. I think it’s great that you took a monochromatic animal and turned it into a multi-colored work of art 🙂

    • That happens when I start with no plan. I had a mask of a zebra done as a selection with channels in PS, 7 lines, 7 colors, 7 empty spaces and a word with 7 letters. And I moved everything around in my work space. And suddenly I saw a pattern. Thanks for stopping by Melissa. I hope everything is OK on your side. Greetings from rainy North Germany. Reinhold

    • Thanks Angela. I was working on selective colors in different photos of flowers. And I thought – NO -, it’s time for a rainbow of zebra’s. Actually it was creative. When I started with this mask I had no plan what I wanted to do. 7 lines, 7 colors, 7 empty spaces and a word with 7 letters. But believe me I had no master plan to start with. Smiles. Reinhold

    • I tried to do selections with channels in PS. And suddenly I had a perfect mask of a zebra. And when I read about the theme for this week I put some color in the background level. And tatata – a rainbow of zebra’s. Thanks for stopping by.
