I like how you made the petals of the sunflower radiate out into the darkness. What an interesting and poetic effect 🙂
Thanks, Melissa. Sometimes I get carried away with Photoshop. I am happy that you like the photo. Sunny smiles. Reinhold
Per-fection!
This is the advantage of living in the country. Pop out of the car, make a few photos and off you go! An we still have remarkable good weather. Totally unusual. Smiles. Reinhold
Phlearn is my Go To too, but hadn’t found this one. Beautiful result.
No, this one is plain vanilla ice cream, not one of Phlearn. It’s one of my standard workflows. But I learned a lot looking from their videos and it’s fun too. 🙂
Erstaunlich wie unbeschadet sie diesen Sommer bislang überstanden hat 😉
Sehr schönes Photo, Reinhold.
Viele Grüße

Oh I love the shadow/fumes (i don’t know how to call it) next to the petals, it’s gorgeous ! It’s a great effect !
Thanks so much. I have created the shadow in Photoshop. It’s quiet simple. You duplicate the layer with the sunflower, reduce the opacity to around 20%, blend mode = screen, transform the layer to size of 120% and add a radial motion blur. And … voila, the shadow effect is done! Smiles. Reinhold
Oh wow, it sounds so difficult to me even with your explanation 😀 Other than changing the contrast or the level of black, I don’t do much in Photoshop. I was thinking about reading some tutorial a while ago,but it seems I don’t have enough hours in one day ! 🙂
Try PHLEARN.com. Aaron is fun and tons of free videos on their YouTube channel. I know all the basic stuff from watching these videos. Just in case you need it in one of these days. Smiles. Reinhold
Oh thank you Reinhold ! This is so helpful. I’ve bookmarked it !
Stunning, the mood, the light and shade 🙂
I saw this one early this morning. I had to stop and take a photo. A bit of PS is involved too! Thanks, Kaz!
