Mixed weather. Rain on one side, sunshine on the other side. While I was shooting this long exposure (180 sec) a rainbow appeared on the right side in the background for about 30 seconds. Enough to leave a trace in the image. A good start into your week! Smiles. Reinhold

Man muss schon etwas genauer hinschauen. LG. Reinhold
You created such a magical connection.
Nature and weather did their part too! Thanks, Charlie! Reinhold
This is a magnificent photo! Thank you for sharing with us, Reinhold! 🙂
I was lucky that the rainbow showed up during the exposure time of 240 sec. 🙂 Thanks, Amy.

I love the dreamy feel of this shot.
Thanks! The weather was changing every 10 minutes. And suddenly this rainbow… I was lucky! Greetings. Reinhold
Lovely Reinhold! I’m actually thinking of purchasing a mini Lee System to get started. I want it to work both on my Nikon 24-120 and my Sony 16-35 so I’ll have to get two adapters and use the 100mm system. I hear that system is better even for the mirrorless because they render less vignetting. Anyway…I’m going to my favorite camera store and they will set me on the right path. I’d like to start with a GND .9 soft filter and use my 10-stop. I’m ready for something new.
I would go for the 100mm system only, if you want to use it for both worlds. You only need one adaptor for each filter size. It will be oversized for the mirrorless camera, but better to big than too small. I recommend a 0.6 soft grad to start with. And the bog stopper which you mentioned.
Thank you for the confirmation of my research! That’s what I thought but I wasn’t “quite” sure. You know how it goes…always something unknown. I’ll go to the camera store and talk to them there. I like to buy things from the store to keep them in business. It’s a fantastic store! I can’t wait to try all this. I’m going to Monterey/Carmel next week and I’d like to see what I can get.
And thanks for your comment and like. 😃
hehe you’re welcome! Thank you for the info!
I would say, a great start to the week! Stunner 😄
Stunning comment, Julie! Time is flying like the clouds in the image. Soon it will be autumn. Yeah! Let the colors come to life. All the best to you! 🙂 Reinhold

Thanks, Angela. Using the filter system changed everything. Starting to enjoy the ZEN way of photography. Each session isa bit like meditation. 🙂 Reinhold
