Sometimes you have to get your feet wet. I was desperate to reach the position for the above composition. There was no trail or route to reach it. Except… walking into the lake. No problem. I was wearing my wellies and walked into the lake. Too eager to reach this position I suddenly felt water making its way into the wellies and I felt my feet getting cold and wet. I was still not at the position I wanted to reach. At that point it was pointless to care any more. I continued walking into the lake. Wellies filled up with water I walked until the water was “above” my knees. Made the shot and walked back. What a feeling and sound to walk. Sitting at a dry spot at the beach I tried to get the water out of my wellies by lifting my legs. May be not the best idea. But finally it was cold and wet only and I continued the shoot. After 30 minutes the sound of walking with wet feet disappeared and the feet felt warm but still wet. When I reached the car I swapped my wellies with my walking shoes. After a short drive home I walked into the shower… to get my feet wet. But this time with hot water. Heaven!

LG, Markus
Hehe, nasse Füsse in Gummistiefeln.
LG, Markus
That says labor of love for photograph. You walked pretty deep in the lake.
The photo is breathtaking, Reinhold.
Thank you, Amy. The feeling of cold water streaming into my shoes was also breathtaking. Surprise that I managed to get a decent composition. Smiles. Reinhold
I’m glad you got those feet wet! What a shot .. 😃
Hoho, I take that more personal, Julie! Those feet… no, my feet.🙂 It was fun! These images have a story now. And if I look at them I always remember these… Thanks and smiles. “Dry foot” Reinhold.
😃 dry warm feet!
Oh, the cross we bear to take photos! Nice result!
Hihi, yes Laura… no landscape photography anymore… but adventure photography. LOL. Indiana Reinhold lost in the wild lakes of North Germany. 🙂 It was fun. These images now have a story. I am still working on the “beauties of the lake”. Another reason for getting my feet wet. But it will take a few moments. Can’t make up my mind which way to go in post processing. Have a nice week and I saw your post on my iPad. I will finish my commenting and then I pop over to your image. Looks great! Reinhold
I think I’ll keep my feet dry…for now. 🙂 I’ll look forward to your beauties of the lake!
This is the story of all successes.
Thanks, Charlie. Then it was really worth it. 🙂
Ha ha!! What we do for art 🙂
Great reward!!
Next time I bring my diving suit!. Thanks, Lena. Smiles. Reinhold
Heaven can wait 🙂
Die Mühen haben sich gelohnt, Reinhold.
Viele Grüße

Vielen Dank, Ulli. 😉 LG. Reinhold

Was a lot of fun! That’s what landscape photography is all about. Isn’t it? Smiles. Reinhold
