Like Eggs in the Sunshine

This image has been taken during a boat trip in the harbour of Hamburg. I still like these “urban landscapes”. So in between my “usual” landscape photography, there will be some street and architecture images. Happy days and a good start into your week. Reinhold

Dartmoor National Park – one of my favorite places in England. Unfortunately it was raining the whole day. We were wet and cold when we came to this magic place. I wonder how it would look like with a bit of soft light on the trees and rocks. After that we had a delicious tea and scones. What more to expect! May be to be there next year at sunrise or sunset? Plans are looking good! Happy Days! Reinhold

Done is better than perfect – if perfect ain’t done – Eric Thomas.
This photograph finishes my Minimalism series. For now.
I have new projects in preparation but will definitely continue working in this direction.

This is image #4 of 4 of my series: Minimalism

Race to the Lighthouse

RSP - Reinhold Staden Photography - Race
Race to the Lighthouse

Image taken at the Formula 18 cat race last weekend. Added some modifications. So let’s call it an image of my fiction series. ūüôā I added the Lighthouse, a motion effect for the sail and some modifications to the background. The boat did fall to the left side in the end. They were already a bit over the limit.

Aircraft leaving Danger Zone

Image 19/20 –¬†Danger Zone

This image is part of my series: Develop my personal style

January 2015. Storm “Felix” on its¬†way to hit the coast of North Germany. I wanted to capture those amazing cloud formations. In the top left side of the view finder I saw this aircraft passing the storm. Actually I think the aircraft was flying above the storm field. But in this moment it looked a bit “dangerous” to me.

The first 18 images are already published. If you are interested…¬†please visit my blog to view the other¬†images of my series. Thanks in advance!

Wetland Fog

Develop my personal style

Image 5/20 –¬†This shot has been taken early in the morning in the wetlands. Fuji X-T1 and LEE Filter System to balance the light. This was one of the last shots into the sunlight. I stopped doing that. When I see a nice sunset / sunrise today I take the shot before or after the sun dominates the sky. Or I turn round and take a shot in the opposite direction. The light is much nicer / softer. In this case it still works because of the fog over the wetlands. It is magic to be there at this time of the day.

The first 5 images are published. You can see the first quarter of my series here:

Winter Storm

Develop my personal style

Image 4/20 – An image you might have seen before. I had one shot only. Heavy wind and rain. LEE Filter: ND Grad and Big Stopper. Long exposure: 30 seconds. Used my body and a big umbrella to cover the camera and tripod. Pier was shaking. After this one shot camera and lens and filter were wet. Couldn’t wait to get home to see if I managed to get a decent shot. It fits into my new style. No major adjustments to the image. That’s the reason why I post it again.

If you like to see the other images of my series… there is a new gallery in the sidebar of my blog. I will add each new image on a daily basis.

The way to the sea…

Developing my personal style

A personal style… hard to find… I will go for black and white / monochrome and one selective color. Bronze. I have prepared 20 new or reworked images which will illustrate¬†the new… my new style. You will see one image¬†per day… for the next 20 days. Not sure if it will work out. ūüôā But I am excited to share them with you. Smiles. Reinhold

Dreaming… I saw me walking into the water, the fog, the clouds… moving on into a world without fear, hate, politics, war, anger… I must be dreaming. Afraid to wake up. My dream will be continued tomorrow. See you there!

Winter Storm

RSP - Reinhold Staden Photography - Winter Storm

What am I doing? Winter storm in Dangast in the National Park Wadden Sea, high tide, gray, cold, windy, rain. And there I am… trying to shoot a long exposure image. Tripod, lens, camera, filter (big stopper)… dirty and wet. I got wet. 30 seconds in these weather conditions is a long time. I used every trick I had in mind to stabilize the camera. There is some blur… but I think that is OK. 1 image, back into the car. Hope you like it! ūüôā

Rainbow Bridge

RSP - Reinhold Staden Photography - Rainbow Bridge

Mixed weather. Rain on one side, sunshine on the other side. While I was shooting this long exposure (180 sec) a rainbow appeared on the right side in the background for about 30 seconds. Enough to leave a trace in the image. A good start into your week! Smiles. Reinhold
