Dragonfly in search of a Friend… photo has been taken in the Fintlandsmoor, a new cultivated piece of wetland to support the global climate. I am proud that we do something right over here. Otherwise it will be “very, very bad” for this dragonfly and our children. Not a good deal.
Across the Moor – for those of you who like to see a few of my landscape photography locations. The Fintlandsmoor is a very unique place and a beautiful nature resort in the district Ammerland in North Germany. Again filmed with my iPhone 5s. I have to get a decent video camera in one of these days. Awesome music by Ben Sound.
Yesterday in the Fintlandsmoor. It is still cold and windy. The rain had stopped for a day. The moor blooms. It was a quiet moment. A mild wind created patterns of light in the blooming grass. I heard only the wind and some birds in the distance. A perfect moment to stop for a moment or two. A am currently working on a new video. It will show the creation of this image and some others. I will see if I get this finished by the weekend. Happy days! Reinhold

Yesterday. Early in the morning. In the moor. The rising sun is throwing flames of light at this tree. It only lasts for a minute. I nearly missed that moment. The routine of setting up the tripod, mounting camera and lens, attaching the filter holder, mounting the filter and doing all the settings works better in these days. It’s all about practice. A few months ago I would have missed that moment.
The first 17 images are already published. If you are interested… please visit my blog to view the other images of my series. Thanks in advance!
What happened? Last evening I decided to go to the nearby moor. Still cold and windy. But sunshine and blue sky. No clouds. I was searching for a composition. One image of the day. But I could not find anything. A bit disappointed I walked back to the entrance of the moor and passed one of the moor lakes. I saw these pieces of wood in the water. The lake is completely surrounded by bushes and trees. No open space for the tripod and camera. I always have to deal with these branches. I wanted to create a long exposure to smoothen the water. I mounted the LEE filter holder and the Big Stopper. f 5.6 and 30 seconds later I looked a the first preview in camera. I saw these blurry branches and that the wood was in focus. At home I converted the images into black and white, did some local adjustments (healing tool to clean up the water) and boosted the motion effect with Analog Efex Pro 2 / Motion Blur Effect. I like the effect. Hope you like it too!
Yesterday afternoon in the moor “Fintlandsmoor” nearby. I did 5 shots of the clouds movement and the reflection. So I thought it is time for an animation. Hit the refresh button of your browser to see it again. A great weekend to all of you. Reinhold
A few days ago I had a late afternoon walk in the Fintlandsmoor, a conservation area near the place I live. It lies within the Hunte-Leda Moor at the outskirts of the Ammerland Geest. It is a natural habitat of endangered ground-nesting birds. Location: Google Maps
All photos at his location are taken with my Fuji X-T1 and the 18-55mm lens. I used a tripod and my new Lee Seven 5 filter system. Post was done with Lightroom only.
