Fintlandsmoor / North Germany
Found in the moor nearby. It is actually a mega city. Each one a masterpiece of its own. Happy weekend.
The autumn season is near. The moors are changing their green for a colourful dress. The lakes are waiting for awesome sunsets with fog and mist. I think Boomer will look with eyes wide open when I wake him up in the middle of the night. He is old enough (18 months) to follow me to my photography spots. Now we have to wait for the season to start. All images are archived images of my tours from last year. Hopefully we can beat them as a the new team. Happy days. Reinhold & Boomer
Change of season. Summer is leaving and autumn is just round the corner. Many tourists and their dogs left the lake and it is much quieter than a few days ago. Hopefully it stays like this for a while. I am looking forward to an awesome autumn season with lots of fog and vivid colours. Happy days. Reinhold
Cold sunny weather this morning at the lake. Some fog in the background. We did the longer walk. Happy days. Reinhold
“I wish that all of nature’s magnificence, the emotion of the land, the living energy of a place could be photographed.”
— Annie Leibovitz
“It’s weird that photographers spend years or even a whole lifetime, trying to capture moments that added together, don’t even amount to a couple of hours.”
— James Lalropui Keivom
A new morning in North Germany. Hot days, cold nights. Ideal for mist and fog. I hope autumn will be stunning and awesome this year. I really need a motivation boost to dive into landscape photography again.
Happy days. Reinhold
I captured this image beginning of November in one of our local moors in the morning before sunrise when the fog was still in the air. It was difficult to get to this position and to find a suitable position for my tripod. I used my Fuji X-T1 / 18-55 kit zoom / f9 / 1/60 sec and a ND grad (3 stops) filter to balance the brighter sky against the darker foreground. 10 sec timer. Happy days. Reinhold
After the old wizard passed the Guardian of the Moor and entered the path to the White, Light Moor he returned to the junction and slept there for the night. He looked at the images in his magic cube and was happy about the stolen results.
In the morning when the fog was still covering the landscape he accessed the black, dark moor through another secret path.
The black dark moor was covered with fog and the silhouettes of the trees, which looked like marching giants and warriors frightens the old wizard. He quickly stole a few images of the scene and returned to his home and a hot cup of tea.
Thank you for your interest and patience.
In my next post I will explain what the “Moorland Photography Concept” is all about.
Happy days. Reinhold
Sunrise in my local moor. Moorland. Fintlandsmoor. A magic piece of landscape just round the corner. I had two choices. Capture thick fog with minimal light or wait for the light which lightens the fog as well. I like dark and moody images but this time I decided to wait for the light, the colors in the sky.
Happy days and may the light be with you,
Reinhold
