“I wish that all of nature’s magnificence, the emotion of the land, the living energy of a place could be photographed.”
— Annie Leibovitz

“It’s weird that photographers spend years or even a whole lifetime, trying to capture moments that added together, don’t even amount to a couple of hours.”
— James Lalropui Keivom

Urban landscape print

RSP - Reinhold Staden Photography

Today I was searching through my files and stumbled over one of my all time favorites. I captured the image in Frankfurt years ago, when I was into street photography and urban landscapes. Today I read about the artist Steve Donwood, who did all the album artwork for the band Radiohead. He said that computers are alienating because they put a sheet of glass between you and whatever is happening. Finally he said: “You never really get to touch anything that you’re doing unless you print it out”. That’s what I did with the image above. And it feels awesome.

See you on Thursday next week. Happy days. Reinhold

Save time in an image…

If I could save time in a bottle… 10 seconds were enough to save this time in an image.
Already pretty cold in the morning. Fog is slowly creeping through the landscape. I guess autumn is coming. Hurra. The “green” time is over.
It is time to take the dust of my gear, get my rucksack and head out of the door. Catching time.

Happy days. Reinhold

Who comes first?

Na.. Fu.. ture first

As landscape lovers that should not be a difficult question to answer. Nature and therefor our future has to come first. No country and no single person. And definitely not me. We avoid plastic where we can, we save water where we can and many other things which should be obvious to a human being. And we enjoy nature. And we try to infect people around us to do the same. Hope you like my poster design from today.
