The underground stations of Berlin are quiet interesting. During daytime it is difficult to find a spot with no people for a longer exposure. And it is a bit strange to set up a tripod in this environment. The challenge is to find the right moment to shoot. I like the yellow color of the the trains. The station is called “Paracelsus Bad” at U8.
This is the first video of my 90 days in Berlin series. Hope you will enjoy these first impressions of a city that never sleeps. Happy days and a nice and creative weekend to all of you. Thank you for your visit and your continuous support. Reinhold
Berlin’s architecture. Not always straight lines reaching the sky. Often twisted shapes. Urban landscapes. I still need a bit of practice to get it right. I also haven’t found the right time of day to shoot these images. But may be there is no right and wrong.
Happy days and a nice weekend to all of you! Reinhold
And thank you for your visit and interest.

It was a bit of a surprise. I saw the sign “Viktoria Park – 350m” and followed that sign. From a closer distance I heard running and splashing water. And then I saw the waterfall and the national monument in the distance. Not the perfect time of day. I set up my Fuji X100F on a rock (no tripod, no filter) and used the ND feature of my camera (3 stops) to further reduce the shutter speed to achieve the blurry water effect. I shot a F16. ISO 100. My shutter speed was now at 2 seconds in bright day light. 2 second timer. The image is OK for me. But I have to come back. This time with tripod and filter and hopefully a sunset will light up the scene. I had to go all the way to Berlin to find a waterfall. Amazing! And… I heard there is a second one near to where I stay in Berlin. Happy days. Reinhold
Urban Liquid in Berlin.
Our frozen lake after 2 days of temperatures above the freezing point. Most of the ice is gone. We had a wonderful period of a few weeks with sunshine and cold weather and wind from the east. I used my Fuji X100 for all the images I captured because my Fuji X-T1 is in service. For nearly 5 weeks now. It is still in the shipment phase. For 1 week now. Left England and is on its way to Germany. Hopefully I will get my camera back before summer. 🙂 Happy days. Reinhold
This post continues my series “1 Location – 2 Images”. Images have been taken in Frankfurt in the city center at the “Römer”. I was surprised how different the windows looked and felt, when I change the position to capture these images. Happy days. Reinhold
Peaceful – Bornhorster Seen – North Germany. 4 sailing boats sleeping in a lake covered with fog early this year. I had to walk into the lake to get passed the tree on the right. A cool, wet but fun experience. Wakes you up… early in the morning.
In my work there is no perfection,
only ambitious versions of drafts
in the timeline of my photographic journey.
When they feel perfect,
that’s when I need to worry most.

Happy Days. Reinhold
Yesterday, while I was shooting the Formula 18 boat race at our local lake, I took a rest at the shore of the lake. After a while I saw these lines of blue water and light with the duck as a zero point. It was so nice to have this warm and sunny day after all the bad weather in the last months. I really enjoyed it.
Across the Moor – for those of you who like to see a few of my landscape photography locations. The Fintlandsmoor is a very unique place and a beautiful nature resort in the district Ammerland in North Germany. Again filmed with my iPhone 5s. I have to get a decent video camera in one of these days. Awesome music by Ben Sound.
