It is getting colder in the North. First frozen leaves in frozen thin ice at our lake. I spent an hour walking my way to the village and back and enjoyed the cold, fresh air. Hopefully the weather stays like that. Enjoy whatever season you may have. Happy days. Reinhold
Tomorrow it will melt like ice in the sunshine. But today the wind still creates some beautiful ice art at our lake. This easter wind will remain for another night. And tomorrow we will have sunshine and temperatures above the freezing point. Happy days. Reinhold
Our frozen lake after 2 days of temperatures above the freezing point. Most of the ice is gone. We had a wonderful period of a few weeks with sunshine and cold weather and wind from the east. I used my Fuji X100 for all the images I captured because my Fuji X-T1 is in service. For nearly 5 weeks now. It is still in the shipment phase. For 1 week now. Left England and is on its way to Germany. Hopefully I will get my camera back before summer. 🙂 Happy days. Reinhold
3 more images of the ice art at our lake yesterday. Temperature is back to normal and all of the ice is gone. One of my rules of photography. You have to be in the right spot at the right time… and hopefully carry a camera in your rucksack! Happy days. Reinhold
Freezing cold, wind, waves, sunshine… and nature at our local lake created some really magic ice art. I just returned from the lake and I am still in the process of viewing and selecting images. May be some more to follow tomorrow. Until then. Happy days. Reinhold
Dreaming… I saw me walking on thin ice… moving on to the end of my dream… I hear the ice cracking, it will break… I have to wake up. Thank you being part of my dream!
Dreaming… I saw me walking through the moor, the wetlands of the North… moving on into a world without fear, hate, politics, war, anger… I must be dreaming. Afraid to wake up. My dream will be continued tomorrow. See you there!
No solid ice cover on our lakes in the moor. Still interesting to see and hear when the ice starts cracking. But with this one I have no idea. There is no crack really. At least I can’t t see it. Is this leading line created by the wind? Who knows… but it is worth an image. Smiles. Reinhold
These 4 images of a monochrome series (Cold As Ice) have been captured with my Fuji X-T1 at our lake nearby a few days ago. Now the weather has changed and is back to “normal”: gray, cold, rain, wind. We actually had our second winter storm the last 2 days. The forecast says that this will continue for the next days. Never mind. You have to be in it to be in it! 🙂
