Don’t believe what you see…

Revised version after comments

Added more sky on Photoshop to the top image. More breathing space for the poles.
Stopped letters “Area 51” from fighting against the poles. Added “51” to the sign in the bottom left corner.
Now the UFO is flying towards the car.
Added a little bit of blurred, red color to the breaking lights of the car.
Added a bit of fog/smoke around the space ship.
Cleaned the image up from distracting objects.
The road starts as a leading line in the bottom right corner.
Changed the font of the quote.
Changed the crop to 5:4.

You can find the “old” version at the end of the post.

Special thanks to Sherry and Vicki for their comments.

I created 2 versions of this poster. Which one do you like best?

Have a great weekend and happy days. Reinhold

Agfa Isolette II – 6 x 6 Film Camera

Something I always wanted to do. Shooting film. Again. Started with a Canon A1 and now I am back where I started. The Agfa Isolette II is a medium format camera (6 x 6) which is consuming roll-film 120. No batteries. No programs. Now I have to proof if I know the art of photography or not. I am really excited to try it. I bought 2 films. Ilford 120 roll-film. FP4 (125 ISO) and DELTA (100 ISO). Found a company in Germany for the development and scanning. Images will be delivered in TIFF format online or via DVD. Prints (any size) are optional. The tripod is about the same age. The Agfa is fully functional, the inside looks brand new. The tripod is basically out of the box. Found both gems in a local antique store round the corner. They were full of dirt and dust. Less than 50 $ for both! A bit of care and love brought them back to life. We will have a lot of fun together. I wait for a bit of sunshine. And then I will try to find some cool compositions and will shoot film again. So excited. :-). Definitely happy days! Reinhold

Listen to the music…

I bought a radio for our new home. I was so tired “talking” to my radio and to buy fancy features in another fancy device . So I bought luxus. A venus. A venus luxus. A Loewe Opta Venus Luxus tube radio. Built 1954. It was built in the same time I was born. Still working. 100%. Great sound. The sound of a tube radio and tube amplifier. Who ever played in a rock band (I did), knows what I mean. I listen now all day long to Radio Bremen 1. They play vintage rock. And guess what… I listen to the music. Happy days! Reinhold

All images taken yesterday with my Fuji X-T1 wearing my “Old guys rule” t-shirt while listening to this music.

These shots were taken in the Cloppenburg Museum Village, the oldest in Germany. The museum is a research and educational establishment specializing in cultural and rural history.
